Vedic Mathematics : A New Way of Learning Mathematics

Vedic mathematics is a quite different approach to the numbers. Swami Sri Bharati Krishna Tirth Dev, 143rd Shankarcharya of Govardhanpeetham, Orissa is said to be the father of Vedic mathematics as we know today. He compiled this Knowledge in the form of 16 sutras and 13 sub-sutras and named it “Vedic Mathematics”. This knowledge encompasses the whole range of mathematics from Basic Algebra to Higher Mathematics. It also includes Trigonometry, Calculus and Differential Equations etc.
Ved Vignan Maha Vidya Peeth (VVMVP), associated with The Art of Living and founded by Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji, has taken an aggressive initiative to impart this knowledge to the country fellows. I am fortunate enough to be a part of this derive. At VVMVP this knowledge is organized into four level courses starting from basic algebraic operations at level -1 and higher mathematics at level-4. Level -1 of Vedic Mathematics, which includes all eight algebraic operations is taught to the students who are above 5th grade and this level is equally helpful to all the aspirants who are preparing for various competitive exams like management entrance exams (CAT, MAT etc.), Banking P.O. exams etc. Great efforts are being taken to make it a part of school activity as an extra- curricular activity.
Anyone interested in knowing more can contact Mr. Ramesh Kolluru, Head of the Vedic Mathematics Department, VVMVP, Bangalore.

Cricket, Terrorism and Tendulkar
After all who won or who lose does not matter. Credit must be given to the English who came to India defeating the purpose of terrorists and showing the solidarity with the democracy waging the war against terrorism. We, the Indian stood united against the worst ever terrorist attack Indians have ever faced. My humble tribute to our martyrs... We shall fight and we shall overcome.
At the end, I must say- Wah Taj ! Wah Indian! Wah Cricket! Wah Sachin!

Atonement
Why atonement ....?
for Compassion ?
for Megalomaniac ?
out of compulsion ?
or Frustration ?
I only know the story can be resumed and life never come back once it has been lost..

Simply, in Words
Days are lonely here. Not only because there is nobody to talk but also no word to express anything. All images are buried in the past and, suddenly, they seem to be inaccessible .Speechless we are after having lost all thoughts, all ideas and all relations in the quest of making identity that is still an illusion.

Communalism
It happened, it has happened and it will happen unless we don’t stop it. 58 years ago a mahatma was shot dead, clash of civilization has started and humanity will suffer when an idea full of hatred ness and religious intolerance is born in the human mind. This widespread curse griped

UNAIDS Report
Though government of india has rejected the report but if it is true,it would be horrible.
More stats:
1800 children contract HIV every day.
More than 4 million people were infected with HIV in 2005.
25 million people have died from HIV/AIDS in the last quarter century.
On average, only 9% of HIV-positive pregnant women receive retroviral treatment.
On average, only a third of young men -and just one fifth of young women - could correctly identify ways of preventing HIV transmission.
A bright spot: funding for HIV/AIDS is way up, nearly $8.3 billion last year

Fanaa for you
Darkness disappears when moon shines; night becomes pleasant .Loneliness converts to ecstasy of being in self. Black becomes beautiful. Innocence mingled with love leads to enlightenment and one moves closer to one's destiny.
It is heartening when child/boy-hood heroes strike back.
Winning or losing doesn't matter. Does it?
May be...

Protest over the Post
I subsequently discuss these issues in my posts. Here, I will reflect upon one touching issue. Whenever we talk about reservation and subsidies we discuss (debate) with the same hatredness as usual that have been existing since time immemorial. Our rational thinking always plays with the idea of meritocracy. One question that intrigues is what lies beneath the meritocracy. Are we able to provide level playing field to every player in the game? For a large chunk of society basic amenities like education, health, drinking water and sanitation are distant dreams in this modern and hi-tech world where distance is limited to only two digits i.e. 0 and 1.We don’t think about sharing and caring. In country like India meritocracy is blended with aristocracy. We need to eliminate the ceiling of privileges to get everyone in the mainstream.
